What's Going On

I don't have any pictures this time but am just giving a little update. Today is Saturday and Elias and I stayed home in the morning to work on stuff around the house. Elias plugged most of the holes around our windows and door with cement. I'm excited as this will keep out more cold and bugs. He also gave Toby a much needed bath. He was starting to look like a stray dog so we thought we better get him cleaned up. I dug wells around all of my bushes in the front yard to catch water and sprinkled ant killer. I found an ant hill of large ants near one of my bushes. I also cleaned up around the house and made my first set of tortillas on my comal. Elias took pictures but I haven't put them on my memory stick yet. I'll try to post them next time.

After our work day Elias, Toby and I walked to town as all the cars and motorcycles had already been taken...we're trying to buy a car from Elias' cousin but haven't gotten a hold of him yet. He lives in Mexico City...Toby and I took a nap on the sofa in the office while Elias worked. Now I'm here and the boys are still working at the office. We'll be in town today until after music practice. Elias is helping people from the church lead music every Sunday. Someone different leads each week but Elias helps them choose songs and practice on Thursdays and Saturdays so they are prepared.

It's pretty warm here. A big difference from Boise with all the snow they're getting. Elias also bought wood a couple days ago so we have good burning wood for our comal. Last night the fire was so hot Elias and I could barely stand to sit at the table it was so warm...it was so nice though.

We've still been playing a lot of cards. We've moved from Gin to Gin Rummy. Elias asks me if I would like to lose, aka play cards.

Well, that's most everything that's going on for now. We have plans to get more things accomplished but I'll let you know when that happens. ie dog house for Toby, chicken pen, garden...

I miss you guys and love hearing from you all. Keep leaving comments or send us an email when you get a chance!

Katie,
So good to here from you and that life is going well for Elias and you and of course Toby. It's been very wet here and last week we had a doozie of a storm. We were without power for a day and a half. Then a day later it went out again. Sound familiar?!
We are trying to finish our forever remodel...someday..Love,
Maria
