Making tortillas

Here are the pictures of me making tortillas for the first time on my comal. I've made them before but never on my comal at home. Now I've actually done it a few times. I'm getting better but it's actually much harder than it looks. They're hard to keep together in a nice round tortilla and you have to know the exact right time to turn them. Too soon and they fall apart because they're still too doughy. Wait too long and they won't cook right on the other side 'cause all the water is cooked out of them. Practice makes perfect though right!?

The first picture is squishing them with the press. Second is taking it off the plastic and third putting it on the comal.

I can taste them and smell them yumm they look like the blue corn tortillas we had there with you.
Great Job! You look better than you sound over the phone! I can't hear you coughing in the picture. I think your hair is growing fast too. Again you look so cute. Could I be biased?
love, mom xoxo
